Amy Baldwin * is honored to be a member of Barter's 2009 company. Evalyn Baron * Honored to be back for another season at Barter, and inspired by the directing challenges of last season’s Evita and Beauty and the Beast, Evalyn is excited to be directing another of her favorite musicals, Little Shop of Horrors for Fall 2009, and this Spring is equally thrilled to direct Adjoining Trances as part of The NEA’s Big Read initiative for 2009. Over Barter’s past seasons, Evalyn has directed 1776, Oklahoma, This Is Our House, A Sanders’ Family Christmas and Wise Women. |

Mary Lucy Bivins * welcomes Barter's 76th season. Some of her favorite roles in past seasons include: Daisy, Driving Miss Daisy; Miss Peabody, Don't Cry For Me Margaret Mitchell; Margo, Lying in State; Linda Loman, Death of a Salesman; Ouiser, Steel Magnolias; The Bogle, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol and Edith, First Baptist of Ivy Gap; a role she looks forward to reprising in this summer's Showtime at First Baptist. She has loved creating these characters and telling their stories. She is very excited about the women she will "meet" in 2009. |

Ashley Campos * is excited to be back at Barter Theatre for 2009! Born in Ringgold, Ga. and a graduate of Brenau University, she first appeared at Barter in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Some favorite Barter roles include Ruby Mae Green in Pow'r in the Blood, Una in Blackbird, Clotilde de Barthele in The Cure for Love and Babette in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Ashley loves and adores her handsome husband Sean and their cats BooBoo and Rampage. |

Barter audiences may remember him in past productions such as Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), Evita (Magaldi), Doubting Thomas (Thomas) and Much Ado About Nothing (Don John). Ezra Colón is privileged to be rejoining Barter’s Resident Acting Company for a full year! Since 2006, he has been in such wonderful productions as Miracle on 34th Street; Don’t Cry for Me, Margaret Mitchell; Beauty & the Beast; Green Gables and Thoroughly Modern Mille. As he continues in his career, he will always remember every Player show he ever did. But, favorites include Hamlet; Cry Wolf!; Edgar Allan Poe; Junie B. Jones and Billy, Goat, Gruff. Gwen Edwards * is delighted to be at Barter Theatre for the 2009 season. Gwen holds a B.F.A. in musical theatre from Emory & Henry College and has also studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England. Some past roles at Barter include: Wendy, Peter Pan; Rachel Reed, The Road Where it Curves Away; The Mistress, Evita; Sally Simpson, Tommy and Shelley, Batboy. She has co-authored several plays for The Barter Players. Gwen would like to thank her family for all of their support and KB and Hardy for all of their guidance. She is also very blessed to share her life with Ben and Omie. |
| Hannah Ingram * is thrilled to be returning as a 2009 Resident Acting Company member! Past roles at Barter: Evita (Evita); Belle (Beauty & the Beast); Acid Queen (Tommy). Other past adventures: From Paris to Main Street (NYC); For A Good Time Call… (NYC); Steel Magnolias (Shelby); South Pacific (Nellie); Carousel (Walnut Street). She also spent 3 years traveling worldwide, entertaining military as a member of the USO World troupe, "The Liberty Belles." She is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan, and member of Actors' Equity. Ben Mackel * from Hendersonville, N.C., holds a B.F.A. in musical theatre from Catawba College. Some past roles at Barter include: Dodger, Oliver!; the title role in Peter Pan; Danny, Baby; The Pinball Wizard and Cousin Kevin, Tommy and the title role in Batboy. He has composed music and co-authored several plays for The Barter Players including Billy - Goat - Gruff: The Musical. Ben loves hiking in the woods and making music. He is pretty fond of his dog Omie and is also grateful to Gwen for being in his life and writing all of his bios. |

Tricia Matthews* is now in her fourth season with the Barter playing such roles as Eleanor in Lion in Winter, Marilla in Green Gables, Arlene in Baby and Van Helsing in Dracula. She has also been seen at the Coconut Grove Playhouse in the world premiere of Don’t Stop the Carnival, at Centre Stage as Mrs. Tarleton in Misalliance, as Meg in Damn Yankees at Arkansas Rep, Essie in Ah, Wilderness! at Connecticut Rep, as Madame Ranevskaya in The Cherry Orchard at the Asolo Conservatory Theatre, and as Alma in Eccentricities of a Nightingale at Pirate Playhouse. Television and film credits include seaQuest DSV, Superboy, Divorce Court, One Life to Live, Guiding Light and co-starring with Morgan Fairchild and Engelbert Humperdinck in Even Angels Fall. Tricia holds a BA from CSUFullerton and an MFA in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory. |

Jasper McGruder * Film and tv credits include Malcom X, The Fringe and Unchained Memories on HBO. Regional credits include Yale Rep, Arkansas Rep, and Studio Arena and the Kennedy Center. Recent performances include Conjur Women at Lamama and Teatro la Communita in Rome. Jasper debuted in WMKS at Barter and recently performed in The Blue Yodeler and Driving Miss Daisy. International performances include the 1992 world tour of Einstein on the Beach. Jasper is an independent producer on WBAI radio in New York City. He plays harmonica with The Blues Duo. |

Rick McVey * is proud to be returning as a member of Barter’s 2009 Resident Acting Company. Last season Rick was seen in Barter’s Miracle on 34th Street (Kris Kringle); The Desperate Hours (Dan Hilliard); Don’t Cry for Me, Margaret Mitchell (Victor Fleming); Blackbird (Ray) and The Road Where It Curves Away (Buddy). Other performances include Doubting Thomas (Pastor Bob), Oliver! (Bill Sykes), Don’t Hug Me! (Gunner), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor Graydon), It’s a Wonderful Life (George Bailey) and many others. He also wrote and directed the Civil War film, FREEDOM, named Best Film at the 2008 Virginia Independent Film Festival. |

Mike Ostroski * is excited to begin his eleventh season at Barter. Past roles include Sir Percy Blakeney (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Sam Peliczowski (Fully Committed), Jamie Wellerstein (The Last Five Years), Nick Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast) and Benedick (Much Ado About Nothing) - in addition to Captain Allen in the 2007 feature film Freedom. His original musical, I Can Be Anything, opens The Barter Player’s 2009 Stage II season. Mike has studied at CCM, Miami University, Cambridge University and London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. |

Nicholas Piper * is an Associate Artistic Director of Barter Theatre as well as Director of Production and Director of Barter Theatre’s Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, he began his career at Barter as an intern before becoming a founding member of Barter’s First Light Theatre (now The Barter Players). Recent favorite roles include Dr. Sawyer in Miracle on 34th St, Glen Griffin in The Desperate Hours, Vernon Cobb in Comin’ Up A Storm, and Pastor Jimmy Reed in The Road Where It Curves Away. Directing credits include: Keep on the Sunny Side, The Cure For Love, Blithe Spirit, I’ll Never Be Hungry Again, Lying in State, The Odyssey, and Honk! He is married to the wonderful Wendy Mitchell Piper. |

Michael Poisson * is a proud member of Barter's Resident Acting Company. He first came here from his native Massachusetts in 2001, and has appeared here in over 40 productions. Favorite roles, to name a few, include Dracula (Dracula!), Atticus (To Kill a Mockingbird), Ryan (The Liquid Moon), Felix (The Odd Couple), Henry (The Lion in Winter), Herb (Lying in State), Matthew (Green Gables), Ronnie (The Quiltmaker), Boolie (Driving Miss Daisy) and Scrooge (A Christmas Carol). |

Eugene Wolf *is beginning his 12th year at Barter. Recent roles include: A. P.
