James Charles "Jimmie" Rogers (1897-1933) is considered the Father of Country Music. In 1961, he was the first inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame. In 1986, he was inducted as a founding father of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame fifty-three years after his death.
